The Project proposal references the tent structure as one of the earliest shelter form of humanity. Likewise the thermal core resembles the fire in the middle of the tent. This core is further enhanced with a barn –emphasizing the animal husbandry culture in Taiki-Cho- in 1 m below and 1.5 m inside the main structure. This provides additional thermal energy from the livestock and completes the thermal living section of the building.
